How to read a kibble label
Start with the first three or four ingredients, because they carry most of the weight. A named meat or fish with a percentage beside it tells you far more than a category term that could cover almost anything. If the bag splits that percentage into fresh and dried parts, better still, because the dried part is the one that survives the oven.
Then check the recipe says it is complete, and which life stages it is complete for. Complete means the food is built to be the whole diet on its own.
