80.2/100Outstanding

Our view

Likely to suit

  • A bowl led by named meat and fish at the top of every label
  • Grain-free feeding
  • Working and busy dogs, with protein at 42.4% to 43.5% of dry matter
  • Rotation feeders, since the base holds steady while the animal changes
  • Dogs kept off land meat and birds: the Fish names fish and nothing else

Worth watching

  • Poultry in four of the five, as fat or hydrolysed protein, which keeps them off a strict elimination plan
  • Salmon or salmon oil in every recipe, so none is fish free
  • Dense recipes, so measure the portion for a quiet dog

With land meat ruled out, this is the one, and its whole list reads in one breath.

One construction across five recipes: a fresh animal or fresh fish at the front, dried meats directly behind, then dried potato, dried sweet potato and peas with no grain anywhere. Linseed, psyllium husks and chicory inulin close every list, and the same dosed supplement panel sits on all five, with zinc and manganese as oxides.

Fish runs through the whole range: salmon oil on all five, fresh salmon in three more. Four of the five also carry poultry fat or hydrolysed poultry protein. None declares moisture, so dry matter works from the 8% a kibble normally holds.
