PetEat by Naked Dog: Fin-tastic Feast (Chicken & White Fish) review
Flavour
Raw feeding scaled down for small dogs, in 250g tubs, with one or two named animals and their organs heading each label. What sets the range apart is what is missing: no premix at all, with the maker calling these naturally complete foods. All four land in our Outstanding band, in a category where the typical food already sits there.
Our view
Likely to suit
- Small dogs, with 250g tubs portioned for smaller appetites
- A gentle first try at raw
- Rotation feeders: chicken, fish, duck and beef in the same style of tub
- Dogs that struggle with bone. The beef recipe uses egg shell powder instead
- Owners who would skip synthetic premixes, since nothing is added beyond the food
Worth watching
- No tub is fish free, the duck also carries beef, and wheat-derived oil and grass are on every label
- Raw needs a routine: freezer room, defrosting time and a wipe-down after serving

- The highest of the four
The one for a dog that likes fish, with the oils arriving inside the fish itself.
Every tub follows one pattern: named meat and organs do almost all the work, then a short fresh fraction of green vegetables, carrot and blueberries. Liver is in all four. Carbohydrate converts to between 0.0% and 11.0% of dry matter. There is no vitamin or mineral premix on any label; kelp and the whole ingredients supply the micronutrition.
Fish runs through the whole range, as salmon oil in three tubs and whole white fish in the fourth. Wheatgerm oil and wheatgrass powder are on every label. Bone carries the calcium in three recipes; the beef uses egg shell powder.
