Pets Love Fresh dog food review
Pets Love Fresh is a fresh food brand with a small freeze dried side. Seven products, all of them grain free and all built on one main protein. Every recipe sits in our Good band, and nutritional balance reads Outstanding right across the range. Format decides it here: fresh tubs for everyday feeding, freeze dried for something much denser.

Pets Love Fresh: the closer look
The range
Seven products in two formats. Five are fresh and two are freeze dried. The fresh side splits into a four product adult range and a single puppy recipe. Beef, chicken, duck and pork appear across the adult tubs, and the freeze dried pair is beef and chicken.
Ingredients
Chicken leads on three products, with beef, duck and pork behind it. All of them are grain free, and all are single protein. The two freeze dried recipes add glucosamine, chondroitin and yucca to the label.
Nutrition
The fresh food runs about 11% to 14% protein as fed with 124 to 138 kcal per 100g, and the puppy recipe is 16% protein. Freeze dried runs far denser: 32% to 50% protein, and 393 to 537 kcal. Nutritional balance is Outstanding throughout.
Strengths
- Nutritional balance Outstanding on every recipe
- Grain free and single protein throughout
- Fresh and freeze dried in one range
Limitations
- A small range of seven products
- No wet, dry or raw food
- Protein and processing reads Good throughout
Where it is less of a fit
- If wet or dry is a must, check the format list, as this range is fresh and freeze dried
- If you like to rotate proteins, check the labels, since chicken leads and the others are one or two products each
- If joint support extras matter, check the freeze dried pair, as those are the two carrying glucosamine and chondroitin
Score overview
The Good band read comes from nutritional balance, Outstanding on all seven recipes, with transparency at Excellent or better. Protein and processing and value both read Good throughout, and that is what holds the average where it is. No range reads a band above or below another, so the seven products land together.
The average score is the mean of each product's overall score out of 100 (using the best-scoring variety per product), not a flat average across every variety.
