Opti Life
Opti Life Adult Care: Digestion Medium & Maxi review
Two jobs, each made in two kibble sizes, and all four land in our Good band. Lamb and rice for digestion, salmon and rice for skin and coat. Glucosamine is dosed in print on all four and the fibre is declared to the percentage.
Our view
Likely to suit
- Easily upset digestion: the Digestion pair is lamb and rice with nothing exotic behind it
- A dull coat. The Skin Care recipes lead on dehydrated salmon and add salmon oil at 1%
- Small dogs and big ones, with each job made as a mini and as a medium and maxi kibble
- Stiffening dogs, glucosamine printed at 500 mg/kg on the larger bags and 250 mg/kg on the minis
- A settled gut routine, with FOS and MOS declared and beet pulp behind them
Worth watching
- Animal fat and hydrolysed proteins never named, so none can anchor a strict elimination trial
- Fish in every recipe, as dehydrated salmon or salmon oil
- Cellulose at 4%, a purified fibre and not the whole-vegetable sort

All four Good. Typical dry food: Good.
Almost nothing separates the four, so the choice is which job you are buying; the unnamed fat and hydrolysed protein keep them level with the field.
What's in it
- Dehydrated lamb25%Weighed after its water has gone, so this much of the finished kibble really is that animal.

- Animal fatA working ingredient with no animal named.
- SalmonFish in the body of a lamb recipe.
- Cellulose, beet pulp4% and 1%Beet pulp ferments; the cellulose is purified fibre that passes through almost untouched.

The steadier of the two Digestion recipes, though salmon in the body means lamb is not the whole animal story.
Every recipe opens on a dehydrated named meat at 23% to 25% with rice at the same share, then rice flour and an unnamed animal fat. Cellulose at 4% and beet pulp at 1% supply the fibre, FOS and MOS sit at 0.1% each, and salmon oil and linseed are on all four.
Protein converts to between 25.0% and 26.1% of dry matter, on an assumed 8% moisture. The meat (lamb or salmon), the kibble size and the glucosamine dose are what change.
