Natures Menu Raw Boost: With Fresh Chicken review
Four dry recipes under one name, and the bags differ more than the name suggests. Two lean on maize and unnamed poultry proteins; the pork and lamb and the trout swap cereal for pea starch and potato. The beef and the pork and lamb sit in our Good band, the trout and the chicken a step behind in Average.

Our view
Likely to suit
- A dog that has tried everything: pork leads one recipe and trout another
- Dogs that do better on fish, with trout at 13% and white fish and salmon behind
- Avoiding cereal. The pork and lamb and the trout carry maize only as oil
- Active dogs, with fat at 16% in the beef and chicken
- Owners who like the gut extras declared
Worth watching
- Beef at 7.5% in the beef bag, with most of the protein from poultry
- Hydrolysed poultry, pork and fish proteins in the beef and chicken, so neither anchors an elimination trial
- Lard in the trout recipe

- With Pork 50.0

Four recipes across Good and Average. Typical dry food: Good.
The spread across two bands comes from how much of the protein is named, not from anything on the panel.

- Animal fat (poultry fat, lard)
- Hydrolysed animal proteins (poultry, pork, fish)
- Beet pulp, maize protein, linseed
- Minerals, maize oil
- LignocellulosePurified plant fibre for bulk.
- Macroalgae, chicory root concentrate, spirulina0.36% down to 0.1%

Hydrolysed proteins from poultry, pork and fish rule it out of a strict elimination trial.

- Matches the Beef; 25.5% and 14.5% on the other two
- Maize
- Four forms
- Maize oil only on the Pork and Trout
Same panel as the Beef, held a band lower by how much of its protein goes unnamed.
Four dry recipes that share a name and not much else. The beef and the chicken are cereal-led, built on maize and barley with dehydrated poultry proteins supplying much of the protein. The pork and lamb and the trout lead on pea starch and dehydrated potato, with no cereal beyond maize oil.
Chicory root concentrate runs through all four, at 0.2% in the cereal-led pair and 0.8% in the other two, with spirulina at 0.1% on every list. Lignocellulose appears in three. The analyses are close, and the mineral panel is the same on every bag.
