Natural & Delicious
Natural & Delicious N&D Quinoa Wet Mini: Skin & Coat Duck review
Three recipes for small dogs, each sorted by the one thing you are trying to manage: digestion, age, or skin and coat. Quinoa runs through all three in place of wheat or maize. The duck reaches our Excellent band and the other two settle in Good.
Our view
Likely to suit
- Small adult dogs, as every pack is portioned for them
- A delicate digestion, on the hydrolysed fish protein recipe with artichoke and yeast
- Older small dogs, with psyllium and carob in the senior pack
- A dull coat or itchy skin, on the duck with fish oil and coconut
- Owners who would rather see a seed than wheat or maize
Worth watching
- Fish in every recipe, so nothing here for a dog avoiding it
- Lamb, pork and herring together in the senior pack
- No fibre figure on the digestion recipe, so it cannot be restated as dry matter

The meatiest and clearest recipe, and the top scorer here.
Three targeted recipes for small dogs, each with extracted quinoa at 5% as the common thread and no cereal. Each also carries fructo-oligosaccharides, chondroitin and glucosamine without figures, and a line-by-line additive panel with chelated minerals and taurine.
Fish is in all three, as hydrolysed fish protein, herring or fish oil. The meat changes with the job: lamb with fish protein for digestion, lamb with pork, herring and a fibre package for seniors, and duck fillet at 55% for skin and coat.
Price and value
All three recipes come in a 140 g pack. We hold no per kilo figure for the mini range at the moment.
As a guide, put a 15kg adult dog in moderate condition at about 840 kcal a day (110 × bodyweight^0.75, the standard maintenance estimate). That dog would eat roughly 862 grams a day of the digestion recipe, 878 grams of the senior or 798 grams of the duck. All three declare their calories, so those weights come from the maker's own figures. A dog that size is far bigger than these packs are built for, and a small dog needs a fraction of it.
