Each recipe opens on named animal entries and keeps going for several lines, fresh meat or fish first with dried entries close behind doing more of the work than their percentages suggest. Dried sweet potato or sweet potato, tapioca and chickpea carry what starch there is, with pea fibre and lucerne; no grain in any of the three.
