Eden Semi-Moist: Country Feast review
Soft food built like a dry one: three recipes that pour from the bag and lean hard on named meat. All three sit in our Good band. Dried meats do much of the work, putting more animal into each piece than a fresh line would.
Our view
Likely to suit
- Older dogs and tender teeth. Every piece stays soft straight from the bag
- Owners who want each meat named and pinned to a figure
- Dogs that do better without cereal
- Stiffening seniors, with the joint trio on all three labels
- Rotation between a red meat medley, a duck recipe and a fish-led one
Worth watching
- Country Feast has four meats and Salmon & Quail has pork, so neither suits a single-protein plan
- Seaweed and green lipped mussel on two of the labels, if fish and shellfish are out
- Semi-moist pieces hold more water than kibble, so weigh the first few meals

They land close together, so pick by the animal that suits your dog; the order of the names tells you very little.

Named ingredients
Against the range
- Other animals on the label
- Lamb, duck, rabbit, venison
- Duck And Tripe stays close to one bird.
- Protein, dry matter
- 26.8%
- Lowest of the three; Salmon & Quail is 29.9%.
- Hydrolysed protein
- Lamb, 1.25%
- The only recipe that carries one.
The most varied of the three, and a dog that thrives on red meat will do well on it.
Moisture is declared at 18% on all three, held in the piece by vegetable glycerine, so the bag still pours and stores like a dry food. Every meat is named with its percentage, and no cereal appears: sweet potato, tapioca and chickpeas carry the starch.
In dry matter, protein runs from 26.8% to 29.9% and carbohydrate from 38.5% to 41.4%. Glucosamine, MSM and chondroitin close each list, and the added panel is shared, except that Salmon & Quail doubles the zinc.
