Cotswold Raw Enhanced 70/30 Mince – Beef

Cotswold Raw

Cotswold Raw Enhanced 70/30 Mince: Beef review

89.5/100Outstanding
RawAdultSenior

Cotswold's raw mince with the dial turned towards vegetables, all three in our Outstanding band. A full third of the recipe is carrot, cauliflower, cabbage and broccoli, so the bowl is a little less concentrated, which is the point for an older dog. Two of the three end with the brand's own joint blend.

Our view

Likely to suit

  • Older dogs, with adult and senior on every label
  • Dogs that do better with the meat diluted a little
  • Owners who like the working shown, every entry down to the thyme with a figure
  • Red meat rotations, beef and lamb beside an organic free range chicken
  • Owners after a gentler raw analysis for a slowing dog

Worth watching

  • Joint Care on the Beef and Chicken only, with no dose printed
  • Beef organs in all three, so the chicken and lamb are not single-animal
  • Wheatgerm at 0.25% brings a trace of wheat

All three Outstanding. Typical raw food: Outstanding.

The single-animal recipe of the three, and the highest in protein.

Every recipe declares the 70/30 split in full: meat with bone and organ makes 70%, and carrot, cauliflower, cabbage and broccoli make most of the plant 30%. Beef heart, liver and kidney run through all three. No calcium figure is printed and there is no premix; ground bone, organs, kelp, eggs and wheatgerm carry that work.

What varies is the lead animal, whether Cotswold Joint Care closes the list, and how rich the bowl is: protein runs from 39.2% to 46.4% of dry matter and fat from 28.8% to 39.5%.
