Yora
Yora Pate: Carrot & Potato review
An insect pate in three vegetable dressings, all in our Excellent band. What it offers, almost uniquely, is an animal protein your dog has never eaten. Underneath, the three cartons are the same food, so choose by what your dog fancies.
Our view
Likely to suit
- Dogs with a long list of meat intolerances
- Owners after a lighter environmental footprint, which is what Yora was built for
- Dogs kept off cereal: the starch is vegetables and a little chicory
- A soft bowl that needs no chewing
- Variety without changing the recipe
Worth watching
- Pea protein and yeast add to the protein figure, so not all of it is animal
- Carbohydrate at an estimated 26.9% of dry matter, high for a wet food
- Novel is not hypoallergenic; introduce it gradually

- Identical
- Same on all three.
The most conventional pairing of the three.

The analysis is the same on all three: protein 38.5% of dry matter, fat 19.2% and estimated carbohydrate 26.9%. Fibre at 7.7% is high for a wet food, and the insect brings as much of it as the vegetables.
