What's on the label

Three meats open the label, chicken first, then pork, then fish, with egg powder fourth. The fish is given no species and the meats carry no qualifiers, so what the order tells you is the ranking and nothing about how much of each went in.

Potato starch and potato protein come next and are the only carbohydrate sources present, with no cereal anywhere alongside them. Sunflower oil and fish oil bring the added fats, psyllium husk contributes a little soluble fibre, and taurine, L-carnitine and a yeast declared for its beta-glucans finish the named additions.

Dextrose and xylose are printed towards the end. Both are sugars, and they are the reason sugar belongs among the things this food contains, which is a moment's thought if your dog is being managed for anything sugar-sensitive.

Almost no fibre and a generous fat share are what a recovery formula is meant to look like. The task is packing nutrition into a small volume for an animal eating badly.
