Rosie's Farm Single Meat Wet – Adult Salmon & Rice

Rosie's Farm

Rosie's Farm Single Meat Wet: Adult Salmon & Rice review

73.2/100Excellent
WetAdult

Four wet recipes built to one pattern, each with a single named animal at 60% and the percentage where you can see it. The two turkeys reach our Outstanding band; the lamb and the salmon sit a step back in Excellent. The label is short and legible.

Our view

Likely to suit

  • Limited ingredient plans, as each recipe leads with one named animal
  • Owners who dislike guesswork: the meat share is printed on every label
  • Older dogs. The senior turkey adds glucosamine, chondroitin and L-carnitine at 100mg
  • Small dogs and households that hate waste, with a 195 g size beside the 395 g
  • A dog that takes a little gentle grain, and digestions helped by named prebiotic sources

Worth watching

  • Salmon oil at 0.5% in every recipe, so none is fish free
  • Broth with no species, the one entry a strict avoidance plan cannot read
  • The fish recipe's page also prints the turkey and lamb lists; read the fish and rice line
  • Rice in all four, so grain is on every list

Three adult recipes and one senior, for dogs of any size. Feed to the makers' charts and check the species list against your plan before ordering, given the salmon oil and the broth.

The score, in context
  1. Adult Turkey 80.0
  2. Senior Turkey 80.0
  3. Adult Lamb 79.5
  4. Adult Salmon 73.2

Four recipes across Outstanding and Excellent. Typical wet food: Excellent.

The analysis opens the gap: the salmon comes out richer and less protein dense than its stablemates, which is no reason to worry about the bowl.

What's in it
  • Salmon60%
  • Broth30%No species given for it.
  • Rice4%The only starch of any size.
  • Dried peas, carrots, cranberries, pumpkin, broccoli0.5% eachA garnish. The carrots come with their fresh equivalent, 4.5%, printed.
  • Salmon oil0.5%Marine omega 3, and fish on every label.
  • Minerals
  • Yeasts, dried chicory0.01% eachNamed prebiotic sources; a nod to gut health at this level, not a working dose.

Vitamins A and E with zinc, iron, copper, manganese and iodine; no vitamin D3 or selenium, which the other three print.

The page prints the turkey and lamb lists beside this one, so read the fish and rice line.

The only fish-led recipe, and the richest of the four.

Every recipe is one named animal at 60% with broth at 30% or 33% behind it and rice at 4%. Then come dried peas, carrots, cranberries, pumpkin and broccoli at 0.5% apiece, salmon oil at 0.5%, and yeasts and chicory as prebiotic sources.

The broth is never pinned to a species, and the salmon oil puts fish on every label. Carbohydrate runs between 10.0% and 15.4% of dry matter. The added panel prints a figure for everything, though the salmon recipe leaves out vitamin D3 and selenium.
