This tin comes out in our Excellent band. Our Excellent band holds the typical adult wet recipe too, because the category scores strongly with us. This tin is holding the standard of the shelf it sits on. Protein and processing reads Excellent, and rightly so, because half the tin is pork with two named partners behind it.

Pork does the heavy lifting at 50%, and the label names the parts rather than hiding them: hearts, meat, liver and lung. Offal earns its place here, with liver in particular carrying B vitamins, copper and iron in a form dogs digest easily. Pork itself is a palatable meat that few dogs have met often enough to react to.

The water in the tin is broth at 28.8%, and the figure is declared. Which animal it came from is not said. The two partner animals take 10% apiece, beef and lamb.

Linseed oil at 0.2% closes the list alongside 1% minerals. Omega 3 in its plant form is what linseed brings, and it is genuinely useful for skin and coat. At 0.2% it is a finishing touch.

The Pork with Beef and Lamb tin publishes a full analysis: protein at 48.2% of dry matter and fat at 29.1%. Its estimated carbohydrate is 7.7%, where the typical adult wet food runs at 15.8%. That is a meat-led reading.

The added panel is a short one: vitamin D3 at 200 IU, vitamin E at 20 IU, zinc at 25mg, manganese at 1.4mg and biotin at 300mcg on this flavour.
