Poppy's Picnic
Poppy's Picnic Mighty Mince: Wild Boar Mince review
Four raw minces in our Outstanding band, and labels declared almost line by line, percentages included. What sets them apart is the calcium: no ground bone anywhere, with crushed eggshell doing that job instead. Nine named vegetables give the bowl a real plant side.

Our view
Likely to suit
- The owner who reads ingredient lists for pleasure
- Raw feeders who want plants in the bowl too, from sweet potato and kale to pumpkin
- Knowing exactly what you are buying, with a figure beside nearly every entry
- Any build or age: toy to giant, every life stage
- A rotation built on one shared construction, with wild boar for something off the usual list
Worth watching
- Beef and wild salmon oil in all four, so neither a beef-free nor a fish-free plan is served
- Freezer room, a fridge to thaw in, and careful washing up
- Calcium from eggshell, at 0.71% of dry matter on the Chicken Mince, light for a large-breed puppy

The novel protein of the set, and the one an exclusion dieter should read twice.
Every mince shares one build: named grass fed meat and organs, nine itemised vegetables, cold pressed oils, then kelp, spirulina and a long botanical tail, nearly every entry with its own percentage. Beef heart, liver or kidney run through all four, and so does wild salmon oil.
There is no ground bone and no premix. Crushed eggshell supplies the calcium, at 0.71% to 0.95% of dry matter, and whole foods cover the rest: salmon oil for vitamin D, kelp for iodine, wheatgerm for manganese.
