Nutriment Gently Cooked Medallions – Salmon

Nutriment Gently Cooked Medallions: Salmon review

86.6/100Outstanding
FreshAdult

Gently cooked fresh food pressed into portioned discs, and all four recipes sit in our Outstanding band. Every label reads like a butcher's list, naming the tripe, heart and liver inside the meat share. They are cooked, so you get that list without raw-feeding hygiene.

Our view

Likely to suit

  • Moving off dry food without taking on raw hygiene
  • Fussy dogs; gently cooked meat smells like dinner in a way a biscuit never manages
  • Offal lovers, with heart, liver, tripe and lung all named
  • Portioning done for you, in medallions
  • No land meat at all, on the Salmon recipe

Worth watching

  • Salmon oil in the Beef, Chicken and Lamb, so none of the four is fish free
  • Fridge or freezer space, and a defrosting habit
  • Adults only; a puppy needs a food built for growth

For a dog kept off land meat, this is the one to buy.

Every recipe is 87% animal, and each label opens that share to name the cuts inside, offal included. The plant side is small and named: chicory on every list, then a few vegetables and fruit at a few percent apiece. Hemp oil runs through all four, with salmon oil joining it on the Beef, Chicken and Lamb.

Moisture runs from 62.1% to 69.2%. The added panel is dosed per kilo and printed in full, and no recipe carries a gum, a bulking agent or a colour. What separates the four is the analysis, from the beef's even balance to the fat-heavy lamb and salmon.
