Naturo Adult Grain & Gluten Free Cans: Duck review

62/100Good
WetAdult

Six grain-free cans built to one plan, each half named meat, and all six sit in our Good band. The rest of the label goes to small, carefully weighed extras, every one with a percentage.

Our view

Likely to suit

  • Households with more than one dog, six flavours off a single construction
  • Owners who want the named meat share printed
  • Grain-free and gluten-free homes
  • A steady bowl, with fat between 25.0% and 30.0% of dry matter
  • Every adult dog in the house, toy breeds to giants

Worth watching

  • Salmon oil on all six labels, so every can carries fish
  • Chicken in four of the six; the duck and plain turkey leave it out
  • Ash between 16.8% and 20.0% of dry matter, high for a wet food

All six Good. Typical wet food: Excellent.

Half named meat and a high mineral reading keep all six a step under the wet shelf's middle; the consistency is worth something in itself.

Lightest, with the chicken.

A useful change for a dog that has worked through poultry and beef, and one of two cans with no chicken.

Every can is half named animal: chicken, duck or turkey alone at 50%, or two meats split 26% and 24%. Fruit and vegetables come in at 8%, from carrots, blueberries and potato on the paired cans and peppers, peas and sweet potato on the singles.

Three oils are named and weighed, salmon oil among them, so every can carries fish. A tail of kelp, chicory, herbs and a token of glucosamine and chondroitin follows. Crude ash runs 16.8% to 20.0% of dry matter, high for a wet food.
