Gelert
Gelert Country Choice Grain Free Adult: Turkey review
A two-protein grain-free range on dried meat and sweet potato, both recipes in our Good band. Neither brings in a second named animal, which makes the pair easy to read for a dog with a short list of safe proteins. A dosed joint pair sits on both labels.

Our view
Likely to suit
- Adult and older dogs on a grain-free bowl
- Dogs kept on one meat
- Stiffening seniors and big dogs, with glucosamine at 125 mg/kg and chondroitin at 50 mg/kg
- A fish-free home: no fish meal or fish oil anywhere
- Swapping protein now and then without changing anything else
Worth watching
- The joint pair is animal-derived with no species named, which matters in a strict elimination trial
- Ash at 12.1% of dry matter, for a dog on a vet-led mineral restriction
- Herbs grouped at 0.1% with no names
