Salmon at 48% comes as dehydrated and hydrolysed fractions rather than fresh fish, and that works in the dog's favour: dried fish is concentrated, so the headline survives cooking. Protein converts to 27.8% of dry matter, with salmon as the only named meat protein on the list.
