Vale Pet Foods Vale RAW Beef Tripe Minces: Wild Rabbit review
A raw range built entirely around tripe, at 70% of every mince, and all four finish Outstanding. The differences come from the partner animal: poultry in even tenths of meat, bone and offal, or salmon and wild rabbit supplied whole. There is no premix, by design.
Our view
Likely to suit
- Raw feeders who rate tripe
- Dogs that pick at plainer minces. Few bowls smell as tempting
- Rotating proteins on the same base: chicken, turkey, salmon, wild rabbit
- Every life stage and size, as all four list puppy, adult and senior
- Meal-by-meal feeding from 1kg packs
Worth watching
- Tripe puts beef in all four, so nothing here for a dog kept off beef
- The rabbit is gutted, so no organ meats in that one
- Freezer storage, fridge thawing and clean hands after every meal

The score, in context
- Salmon 87.2
- Chicken 86.3
- Turkey 86.2

All four Outstanding. Typical raw food: Outstanding.
All four sit level with an exceptionally strong raw field, the wild rabbit and the salmon edging ahead of the poultry pair.

The small carbohydrate estimate is arithmetic; nothing starchy is on the list.
Named ingredients
Against the range
- Energy
- 148 kcal per 100g
- The lightest of the set, so portions run largest.
- Fibre, dry matter
- 8.6%
- Unusually high for an all-animal recipe.
- Fat, dry matter
- 35.5%
- The leanest; the salmon reaches 55.3%.
The lean one of the four, and among the two strongest on our scoring.
Every mince is 70% beef tripe with a second animal making up the last 30%. Chicken and turkey arrive as three even tenths of meat, bone and offal; salmon and wild rabbit come whole, bone included, and the rabbit is gutted.
Nothing on any of the four labels is anything other than animal, and there is no additives panel or premix. Bone carries the calcium, and the salmon and rabbit read low on ash for recipes that declare it.
