Paleo Ridge
Paleo Ridge Paleo Plus: Totally Duck review
Raw feeding with the animal share pushed as far up the label as it will go, and organ meat treated seriously. Every recipe reaches our Outstanding band, with all four pillars Outstanding. The one non-meat entry is a named 5% supplement mix, and nothing on these labels needs interpreting.
Our view
Likely to suit
- Owners who want to feed close to what a dog would actually catch
- Organ meat beyond token liver: spleen, lung, gizzards and heart all appear
- Joint ingredients from food, with green-lipped mussel in every recipe
- One animal on the meat side, in the lamb, pork, chicken and duck recipes
- A dog that does well on oily fish, with sardines leading the Surf and Turf
- Multi-dog homes, with toy to giant covered and most recipes listed from puppy to old age
Worth watching
- Raw routine: keep packs frozen, defrost a day at a time and wash up properly
- Seaweed and green-lipped mussel in all six, so none suits a dog kept off fish and shellfish
- Fat and calcium swing widely between recipes, so check both before switching or feeding a large breed puppy

The richest recipe here, for a dog with real energy to work off.
Between 94% and 95% of every recipe is meat, bone and organ from named animals, each entry with its percentage. The offal runs several entries deep: heart, lung, spleen, gizzards and kidney as well as liver. The last 5% is the Berry Good Supplement Mix on all six, and its seaweed and green-lipped mussel mean none of them is free of fish or shellfish.
What varies is fat, energy and bone. Fat converts to between 16.3% and 54.3% of dry matter, and calcium runs from 0.74% on the soft-tissue recipes to 2.48% on the bone-in chicken. There is no grain or potato anywhere.
