Lakes Collection
Lakes Collection Lakes Established Hypoallergenic: Lamb review
A four-recipe hypoallergenic range where each bag stays inside one named meat family and prints the meat split in full. The lamb and turkey sit in our Good band, the fish and salmon in Average. The analysis is gentle throughout, with fat low and carbohydrate doing much of the work.
Our view
Likely to suit
- Narrowing a sensitive dog's suspects to one animal at a time
- Wheat-free households. None of the four uses it
- Medium, large and giant adults, the sizes these labels are written for
- Owners who want to see fresh, dried and gravy shares itemised on the bag
- A dog that needs gentler fat: declared between 8% and 10% across the range
Worth watching
- Low fat and high carbohydrate everywhere, so a hard-working dog wants a bigger bowl than the guide table suggests
- Grain in all four. Even the salmon swaps rice and barley for oats and maize
- Salmon oil and gravy inside the fish recipe; read every animal entry before ruling a protein in or out

Four recipes across Good and Average. Typical dry food: Good.
The range spans a single step, with the lamb and turkey level with most bags on the shelf and the fish pair a shade behind; the effort goes into naming things clearly.

The cleanest single-animal recipe of the four.
Every bag breaks its headline meat into parts, with fresh, dried, fat and gravy shares printed, and no recipe uses wheat. The lamb, turkey and fish lead with the dried share, so they carry more animal material into the kibble than a headline figure usually implies. Rice, barley and oats carry the starch in those three; the salmon uses potato, oats and maize.
Fat is low throughout and carbohydrate high, the trade for an easy bowl. Three recipes share a tail of linseed, seaweed, dosed FOS and yucca, and state rosemary extract as the preservative. The salmon stops after minerals and carries the most meat instead.
