Honey's
Honey's Certified Organic: Pork review
Honey's whole-food raw recipe, certified organic from the meat through to the vegetables, with no supplement added at any stage. Five animals share one build. The pork and turkey reach our Outstanding band, the beef and lamb sit in Excellent, and the chicken in Good.
Our view
Likely to suit
- Owners who buy organic as a matter of course
- Dogs kept to one meat at a time, with a single animal per tub
- Dogs that do better without grain or starch. The only plant matter is minced vegetables
- Owners who would sooner see vegetables than a supplement list
- Rotation inside one system, with five animals built to an identical recipe
Worth watching
- Freezer storage, fridge thawing and the usual raw-food hygiene
- No vitamins or minerals added and no calcium printed, so the meat, bone and vegetables carry it all
- Very high fibre on the Lamb for a raw food

The leader of the range, and a novel meat for a good many dogs.
Every tub is built the same way: 67% minced organic meat with the bone minced finely through it, and 33% minced organic carrot, cabbage and parsnip or kohl rabi. Beef and pork also carry heart. Certification covers both halves of the tub, and nothing else is on any label: no premix, no oil, no supplement.
The five differ far more in the bowl than on the label. Ash runs from 7.3% to 18.8% of dry matter, which is the bone being measured, protein from 30.9% to 46.7% and fat from 31.2% to 51.2%.
