Our view
Likely to suit
- Choosing by protein. Start from the animal that agrees with your dog
- Food trials, with one short list per recipe and the meat percentage printed
- Adult and senior dogs of any size
- Owners steering clear of wheat
- Homes that rotate proteins across one familiar shape of meal over grain
Worth watching
- Hypoallergenic here means a short named list, and the food is not free of allergens
- Chicken fat in the chicken and lamb recipes, so neither is chicken free for an exclusion trial

Listed for adults and seniors of every size. If chicken is the suspect, the duck and salmon is the only recipe without it.

The score, in context
- Lamb 59.2
- Duck 56.9
- Chicken 56.4
All three Good. Typical dry food: Good.
The gap between the three is about how much meat each declares, and the duck and salmon's smaller share lets grain rise to fill the space.

- Highest of the three, from the bone in a lamb meal
The highest score of the three, and the only one with taurine dosed.
Each recipe is built on a dried meat meal, so the printed percentage is near enough the protein your dog gets. Grain carries every bowl, barley, maize, oats or rice depending on the recipe, and wheat appears nowhere. Carbohydrate estimates run from 52.7% to 55.5% of dry matter.
Yucca extract is in all three for stool odour, and beet pulp in two as a gut-steadying fibre. Ash runs from 6.6% of dry matter on the chicken to 9.9% on the lamb, following the bone in each meal.
