Dachshund Superfood
Dachshund Superfood Light Adult Private label review
Flavour
Two small-breed light recipes under one name, the turkey in our Excellent band and the trout and salmon a step below in Good. They are less alike than the shared name suggests. The joint set and the prebiotics are printed as doses on both labels, not left to the marketing.

Our view
Likely to suit
- Small dogs carrying a little extra weight
- Joint support printed as a dose: glucosamine, MSM and chondroitin sulphate
- Grain-free feeding, with sweet potato doing the binding
- Little dogs; both bags are built and sized for them
- Alternating a fish bowl and a meat bowl
Worth watching
- The two are built very differently, so read the variety notes before switching
- Dried pork behind the turkey in one recipe
- Vitamins and trace minerals folded into one minerals entry, no doses printed

Pick it when you want every land meat left out.
Both recipes leave cereal out, with sweet potato opening the plant side and beet pulp following for fibre. Both split their meat figure into fresh and dried parts, and the dried entries do more of the work in the finished kibble than their place on the list suggests.
Each label doses a joint set of glucosamine, MSM and chondroitin sulphate, and the prebiotic pair FOS and MOS. Neither breaks out its vitamins or trace minerals. Beyond that the two are built very differently: fish at 50% against turkey and pork at 65%.
