Collards Wet Dog Food Tray Adult: White Fish & Potato review

65.3/100Good
WetAdult

Six trays made to one farmhouse pattern, and you can read each in a breath: a named animal at 60%, potatoes or brown rice, carrots and peas at 5% apiece. Not a single category term appears on any label. Four sit in our Excellent band, with the chicken a step above and the white fish a step below.

Our view

Likely to suit

  • Owners who want every ingredient named and the big ones counted
  • Dogs on a rotation. Six animals share one recipe
  • Grain-avoiding dogs, on the Chicken & Potato or White Fish & Potato
  • Dogs that get on with a wholegrain, which the other four use
  • Topping a dry bowl with something fresh, as the label itself suggests

Worth watching

  • Salmon oil on every list, the meat trays included
  • White fish with no species named
  • Lamb bone at 10% in the Lamb & Rice lifts that tray's minerals
  • Dried kelp on all six adds iodine, relevant where a thyroid condition is being treated

Six recipes across Outstanding and Excellent and Good. Typical wet food: Excellent.

Most of the line holds level with the typical wet food, the chicken tray pulls ahead, and the plant share is what keeps the rest from following it.

Suits a dog that finds richer wet food heavy going.

Every tray opens with one named animal at 60% and no second animal behind it: chicken, duck, lamb, salmon, turkey or white fish. Carrots and peas follow at 5% each, then sunflower oil, salmon oil, dried kelp and basil. No entry on any of the six hides behind a category term, and none declares calcium.

The carrier splits the range. Chicken and White Fish use potatoes at 25% and are grain free; the other four use brown rice at 20% with potatoes at 5%. Carbohydrate runs from 12.0% to 21.7% of dry matter, and fat from 20.0% to 32.1%.
