Our view

Likely to suit

  • Rotation feeders: only the animal at the front changes
  • Dogs that need cereal kept out of the bowl
  • Very small or very large dogs, with kibble sized to the mouth
  • Named-meat diets, since most bags keep to one declared species

Worth watching

  • Two species in several bags: trout with salmon, salmon with tuna and with venison
  • One Tiny Bites bag named for chicken lists lamb on its panel
  • An omega 3 supplement with no named source

A handy option for dogs that react to the usual birds.

Fifteen grain-free recipes on one template. Each opens with the headline animal at half the recipe or more, split into fresh meat, dried meat and stock. Sweet potato, potato and peas carry the starch, with beet pulp, linseed and an omega 3 supplement of unnamed source behind them. FOS and MOS are dosed on every bag.

Protein converts to between 26.1% and 31.5% of dry matter and carbohydrate to between 39.2% and 48.8%. Kibble comes in a standard cut, Tiny Bites and Mighty Bites, and the trace mineral panel varies a little between bags.
