Caboodle
Caboodle Superfood Small Breed Dry Food: Angus Beef review
Flavour
Caboodle's 65% single-animal formula, scaled for little dogs, and both flavours land in our Excellent band. The label weighs the fresh and dried meat separately, so you can see how much of the animal survives the oven. Choose Angus Beef for the printed joint pack, or Scottish Salmon if land meats are out.
Our view
Likely to suit
- Small breed adults, the dogs the recipe and its portions are built around
- Owners who want the meat share itemised, fresh and dried weighed apart
- Grain-free feeding, with sweet potato and beans for the starch
- Small dogs starting to stiffen, on the beef: glucosamine and MSM at 178 mg/kg, chondroitin at 125 mg/kg
- A dog off land meats. The salmon is fish from first entry to last
Worth watching
- Energy dense at 382 and 378 kcal per 100g. Weigh a small dog's portion
- An omega 3 supplement with no source named in either flavour
- The joint pack is in the beef only

The joint-support half of the pair, with the stronger protein figure.
Both flavours declare 65% of one animal, built the same way: 35% freshly prepared meat with a dried share behind it, 25% dried beef in one and 23% dried salmon in the other. There is no grain. Sweet potato and beans hold the kibble together, with beet pulp for fibre and a dried superfood blend near the end.
Both print their prebiotic doses and both carry an omega 3 supplement with no source named. What varies is the joint pack, which only the beef carries, and the analysis: protein at 41.3% of dry matter in the beef and 34.8% in the salmon.
