A Good band is where the typical adult dry food finishes, and Beta Working comes in a step below that, in our Average band. Read the pillars, though, and the picture is steadier: protein and processing and transparency both read Average, with nutritional balance a shade better at Good. What holds the total down is the wheat-first construction and the unnamed animal entries, not any single alarming choice, and for the hard-working dogs it is written for it remains honest, simple fuel.

Chicken meal at 22% is the recipe's protein anchor. Meal arrives with the water already removed, so it delivers concentrated protein, and the finished analysis reflects that: protein converts to 29.7% of dry matter.

Wheat heads the list and wheat middlings follow further down, so this is a genuinely cereal-led food. Estimated carbohydrate lands at 43.4% of dry matter, a little under the 46.2% typical for adult dry food, a better showing than the ingredient order might suggest.

Dried beet pulp and chicory root at 1% cover the digestive side, the chicory acting as a prebiotic for the gut's friendly bacteria.
