Pork leads all three recipes, at 36.0% in the salmon and tuna version and 39.0% in the other two. It is declared part by part as heart, meat, lung and liver. Organ meat of that kind is nutrient dense and highly palatable, and liver in particular carries a lot of the vitamin and mineral load that a short added panel would otherwise have to supply.

Behind the pork, each recipe names two more animals with a percentage each: salmon at 16.0% with tuna at 10.0%, beef at 16.0% with rabbit at 10.0%, or turkey at 16.0% with trout at 10.0%. For a dog whose system has reacted to the everyday meats, rabbit and trout are rare enough in dog food to be a fresh start.

Broth takes 29.4% or 29.5%. Printing it as an ingredient is the honest thing to do. Wild berries take 4%, split evenly between currants and blueberries, with wild herbs at 0.2% and a little safflower oil at 0.3% or 0.4%.

The analysis is where this pack shines. Protein converts to 50.5% of dry matter and fat to a moderate 27.6%, while the carbohydrate estimate reads 6.7% against 15.8% for the typical adult wet food. Ash reads 13.3% of dry matter. Organ meat leaves that kind of mineral signature.

The added panel, by contrast, is unusually brief for a complete food: vitamin E at 20 IU per kilo, zinc at 25 mg, manganese at 1.4 mg and copper at 0.5 mg. A meat-heavy recipe does carry much of its own micronutrition, and this one is relying on that more than most labels ask you to accept.

On the standard maintenance estimate of around 840 kcal a day (110 × bodyweight^0.75), a 15kg adult dog in moderate condition would get through about 816 grams of this in a day. The food runs to 103 kcal per 100g.

The label's own guide is broader, offering a range at each weight: 520 to 715 grams for a 10kg dog, and 875 to 1200 grams for a 20kg one.
