Ingredient notes

Beef tripe at 70% is the making of this recipe. Green tripe is the unbleached stomach of a ruminant, and raw feeders prize it for its digestive enzymes and friendly bacteria as much as for its protein. It is also famously appetising to dogs, which matters enormously when you are persuading a very young puppy that dinner now comes from a bowl and no longer from mum.

Organic chicken meat with bone at 20% brings the calcium and phosphorus a growing skeleton needs, ground fine enough to be safe in a paste. The organ share is a proper one at 10% split evenly between beef liver and beef kidney, and liver in particular is where a huge amount of an animal's vitamin and mineral content sits.

The analysis reads like the label. Protein converts to 54.2% of dry matter and fat to 35.6%, rich and concentrated in the way growing puppies need. Carbohydrate estimates at zero, because there is not a single starch ingredient to supply any.
