Arden Grange VetCare Joint Care Dry review
We don't put a score on this food. It is a veterinary diet, formulated for a diagnosed condition and meant to be fed on a vet's advice. Your vet has seen your dog and we have not, so a number from us could only pull you towards their advice or away from it, and neither of those is ours to do. What follows is what the label declares, what the analysis works out at, and where to buy it, with no judgement attached to any of it.
The VetCare joint care kibble from Arden Grange is a turkey recipe with dosed glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM, made for a dog whose vet is keeping an eye on its mobility.

What's on the label
Turkey accounts for 36% of the recipe and the label splits that figure for you, 26% fresh turkey and 10% turkey meat meal. Sweet potato at 33% is the largest single plant entry, with chickpeas at 8% and pumpkin at 5% behind it, and no grain is named anywhere on the list.
The joint additions are the reason the recipe exists, and every one of them is printed with a figure. Glucosamine sits at 0.4%, MSM at 0.4% and chondroitin sulphate at 0.3%, with green-lipped mussel extract closing the ingredients. Turmeric and a long tail of dried fruit sit between them, blueberries and blackcurrants at 0.06% each and rosehips at 0.04%.
Fish oil comes in high, ahead of the turkey gravy at 2%, and algae is there for DHA. Turkey is the only land animal on the label, so for a dog that also has a sensitivity the entries worth checking are the fish oil and the mussel extract rather than the meat itself.
L-carnitine is dosed at 48mg in the additive panel and DL-methionine at 2500mg, with itemised vitamins and chelated trace minerals printed beside them.
Converted to dry matter, the analysis reads 23.9% protein, 16.3% fat, 3.8% fibre and 8.2% ash, with carbohydrate estimated at 47.8% and energy declared at 373 kcal per 100g. The label works out at roughly 225 grams a day for a 15kg dog. What a dog with joint trouble ought to be eating, and for how long, belongs to the vet who examined it.
